Germany - Dresden to Berlin

Dresden is a mix of old and new with reminders of what was once here preserved for future generations. The partial wall is from the destroyed Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and left as a monument to reconstruction and reconciliation. It has the name of the senior master builder Karl Pinkert who documented restoration plans in the 1920s that enabled the church to eventually be rebuilt. Nearby you see a modern Tapas Bar and the Heinrich Schutz Residences.
